It is with great pride and excitement that I invite you on a musical holiday adventure with the 51 combined voices of the North Star Kids and our junior troup, The Peanut Gang. These talented boys and girls, ages 5-14, represent 27 different schools throughout the Pittsburgh area.

Come CELEBRATE THROUGH OUR EYES the delightful sounds of December. Come with us as we embrace the rich traditions of Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanza.

The making of CELEBRATE THROUGH OUR EYES was a North Star Kids family venture. Dave Hanner, father of two of our North Star Kids, not only recorded the entire CD for us, but also contributed his song "Beautiful Boy Beneath the Star," and makes a guest appearance in his arrangement of "Through the Eyes of a Child." Another father, Charlie Reese, was the composer of our lead song, "In December."

Our labor of love began one February morning when the North Star Kids arrived on stage for their first recording session. "We're here to create a memory," I told them. "Relax, stand next to a friend, feel your music... you never know who will listen to your work, nor will you know how far your music will travel... The music must come from your heart."

From that moment on, the North Star magic began to unfold. We were creating our little place in time.
